Chapter 25: The Seer Overheard
In this chapter... Harry is extremely happy, while dating Ginny – even Ron approves. Hermione is still trying to find out who the Half Blood Prince is – she has discovered that there was a pupil at Hogwarts called Eileen Prince. Harry refuses to give up the Half Blood Prince’s book – it is still in the Room of Requirement. Harry receives an urgent message to go to Professor Dumbledore’s office. As he is going there, he finds Professor Trelawney, who has been thrown out of the Room of Requirement. She was trying to hide some sherry bottles. Harry realises that Malfoy is in there – and he is extremely happy about something.
Harry wants Professor Trelawney to go to see Dumbledore with hi. As they make their way to the Headmaster’s office, Trelawney mentions the night she made the prophecy about Harry and Voldemort. It is revealed that Professor Snape also overheard the prophecy – he was the one who told Lord Voldemort about it. Harry is furious. He rages at Professor Dumbledore, telling him what Trelawney has told him. Professor Dumbledore says he trusts Snape totally. However, he has called Harry to his office because he thinks he has found a Horcrux. Harry can go with him – under his Invisibility Cloak.
Harry goes to get his Cloak. He quickly tells Ron and Hermione everything and that to keep an eye of Malfoy, and Professor Snape. He gives them the Marauder’s Map to keep watch on Malfoy and Snape, and also the bottle of Felix Felicis, to share out between themselves and Ginny. Harry and Dumbledore walk quickly into the night, and once they step off the Hogwarts grounds they Apparate away to find the Horcrux and destroy it.

It was Snape who had overheard the prophecy. It was Snape who had carried the news of the prophecy to Voldemort. Snape and Peter Pettigrew together had sent Voldemort hunting after Lily and James and their son...

What was Professor Trelawney trying to hide in the Room of Requirement? Sherry bottles

Chapter 26: The Cave
In this chapter... When Harry and Professor Dumbledore Apparate again, they are near a cave, near the sea. It is the same cave that Tom Riddle visited many years ago, when the orphanage took them on a day trip. The cave door us concealed by magic. Professor Dumbledore has to give the door blood, to let them through. Next, they have to cross a vast lake, by boat, to an island, in the middle of the lake. This is where Dumbledore believes a Horcrux is hidden. The lake is full of dead bodies – Inferi.
When they reach the island, the Horcrux is contained in the middle of a basin full of a potion. The only way to get the Horcrux is to drink the potion. He will be the one to drink it. He makes Harry promise that whatever the potion does to him, not to stop giving it to him. He must drink the entire potion so they can get the Horcrux. Reluctantly, Harry agrees. When Professor Dumbledore starts drinking the potion, he quickly collapses in pain, and Harry has to make him drink it, hating himself. When the potion is all gone, Professor Dumbledore asks for water. Harry has to dip from the lake, which awakens the dead bodies. There are too many for him to fight off, and he's about to be dragged into the lake when Dumbledore comes to and fights them off. They head back out to the sea, and Harry Apparates a very weak Dumbledore back to Hogwarts.

“It’s going to be all right sir,” Harry said over and over again, more worried by Dumbledore’s silence than he had been by his weakened voice. “We’re nearly there…I can Apparate us both back….don’t worry….” “I am not worried, Harry,” said Dumbledore, his voice a little stronger despite the freezing water. “I am with you.”

Professor Dumbledore takes Harry to a cave. Tom Riddle went there many years ago with two other children. After many enchantments, Harry and Dumbledore reach a stone basin. They believe the Horcrux is at the bottom of the basin. How many goblets of potion does Dumbledore have to take? 12
