Chapter 30: The White Tomb

In this chapter... Everybody turns up to Professor Dumbledore’s funeral, which is held at Hogwarts – from Professor Umbridge to the barman of the Hog’s Head. He's laid to rest in a white tomb on the grounds, and the funeral is a sober affair. Harry tells Ginny that he cannot be with her any more. He loves her. But Voldemort might use Ginny to get to Harry. Harry has decided he is also not going back to Hogwarts. He wants to find the rest of the Horcruxes before killing Lord Voldemort. Both Ron and Hermione say they won't leave his side and that they're coming with him on his journey. They do have one stop to make before they begin, however. They have to go to the Burrow first for one last day of peace at Bill and Fleur's wedding. Harry also plans to visit Godric’s Hollow – his parent’s grave.

There might be still as many as four Horcruxes out there somewhere and each would need to be found and eliminated before there was even a possibility that Voldemort could be killed. He kept reciting to himself, as though by listing them he could bring them within reach: ‘the locket…the cup…the snake…something of Gryffindor’s or Ravenclaw’s…the locket…the cup…the snake…something of Gryffindor’s or Ravenclaw’s…
