Saturday 23rd June – 28 days to go

Chapter 15: The Hogwarts High Inquisitor
In this chapter... The next day, the Daily Prophet announces that Dolores Umbridge Appointed First-Ever "High Inquisitor". The Trio and the rest of the pupils at Hogwarts learn that Professor Umbridge will be using her new power to institute new rules, inspect teachers, and sack the ones she feels aren't up to scratch.
Harry argues with Professor Umbridge again, about the return of Lord Voldermort, and ends up with another week’s worth of detention ". After one detention. Hermione and Ron are waiting for Harry, in the Gryffindor common room. Hermione wants Harry to form a secret Defense Against the Dark Arts group so they can learn how to defend themselves properly. Harry relucanlty says he will think about it.

“Yeah, Quirrell was a great teacher,” said Harry loudly, “there was just that minor drawback of him having Lord Voldemort sticking out of the back of his head.” This pronouncement was followed by one of the loudest silences Harry had ever heard.

Chapter 16: In The Hog's Head

In this chapter... It is nearly time for the first Hogsmead weekend. Hermione again approaches Harry about the secret group. Harry grudgingly says he will have a go, and Hermione says she will try and find some students who would be interested in joining. When the Hogsmead weekend arrives, the Trio go to the Hog’s Head pub, for the secret meeting. The Hog’s Head pub is more secretative than the Three Broomstick, where they usually go to. It is run by a bar man who looks vaguely familiar to Harry.
A massive crowd – students from Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff – come to the secret meeting, to hear what Harry has to say. They all seem very interested in Harry’s statement that Lord Voldemort has returned, and about Cedric’s death. Cho Chang, in particular, is supportive of Harry. The group agree to start meeting once a week to learn practical defense. The day ends on a bright note for Harry when Hermione informs him that Cho couldn't keep her eyes off Harry for the entire meeting. Ron, to his horror, learns that Ginny has got a boyfriend – Michael Corner.

“Hem, hem,” said Ginny in such a good imitation of Professor Umbridge that several people looked around in alarm and then laughed.
